A winter wren is a very small bird with a tiny, perky tail.

I don't see any that often, so it's always a treat to come across a winter wren.

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've photographed the backside of a bird, doubtlessly a birdy comment on my photography.

However, the rear view of a winter wren is very distinctive. Lucky.
