Birds have an uncanny ability to fluff out all their feathers, whether for warmth or any other purposes (such as drying after a bath).
The otherwise trim American tree sparrow demonstrates a good fluff.

But the following white-throated sparrow should receive a reward for its ability to resemble a sphere.

Both the American tree sparrow and the white-throated sparrow looks like amateurs in comparison to the following American robin.

The robin looks like it must have been attacked in Photoshop, but I didn't have to do a single thing to the image. It was one incredibly fluffed out robin.
