Giant Ice Sculptures
at State College
December 31, 2004

South Allan Street

The heart of State College, Pennsylvania, among the older streets, had a display of various ice sculptures for the New Year's weekend. The ice sculptures were large and small, and the majority of the giant ones were along South Allan Street, above.

There were enough people for a festive air, but everyone parted to allow space for anyone who wanted to take a photo.

The deep sea diver was perhaps the most whimsical one, with its giant fish.

Three more ice sculptures.

Photo note: I used a Pentax *istD, with the SMC-DA 16-45mm lens.
