The snow goose staging point at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, Pennsylvania, is over, with most of the geese on their way north. I'd like to share two of my favorite photos from the past two years.

The following (from 2009) is somewhat atypical. Normally a photo subject obscured in one way or another is a throwaway. Here, however, it suggests a mood to me, as in the mysterious ways of snow geese and their migration. I enjoy the photo, and hope you will too.
