Sunrise by Grasmere

One of the luxuries of traveling during November is that sunrise is comparatively late, aided by the surrounding fells. Being awake by 7:30 is a guaranty that on a clear day one can watch the brightening sky.

Along the way back an inquisitive robin approaches, no doubt looking for a snack. Note that the popular English robin, found on greeting cards and wrapping paper too, is an entirely different species from the American one.
